I was exposed to music from a very early age and from there my passion for music and the entertainment world as well as arts. Both my parents and our family are extremely musical people and played various instruments as well

Only after several cancer operations and been declared disabled to work that I started living out my passion within the music industry in the form of my Facebook page “MLI House of Music”, which promote local and international artists by providing a platform for all Artist’s in South Africa and the African Continent in the form of a Webpage Directory as per attached Portfolio of MLI.

In Short, my aim is to be seen as a mediator and promotor of South African musicians/artists and musicians/artists of the entire African Continent. This includes all role-players within the music industry.

Despite my passion and interest, my career started not in the music or entertainment industry after my 2-year compulsory army service, but in the banking industry on 10 March 1988 where I worked in various divisions to gain experience to become a Branch Manager.

During my 18 years of intermittent service with the same Banking Group, I was extremely fortunate to attend various banking related courses but also various external leadership, financial management, marketing, and human resources courses which include psychology, how to read body language, business writing skills, toastmasters, and various other practical life skill courses as well as a course through Damelin.

I have achieved several awards and the largest of which was a 10-day boat trip in 2001 to the capital of Greece, Athens, the famous Santorini -, Mykonos – and Rhodos islands as well as Turkey (Istanbul and small coastal villages) and then lastly Egypt where I visited the pyramids by bus tour in Cairo and several other tourist attractions.

The most fortunate was to gain valuable experience as an entrepreneur in the Landscaping industry for two years and two years as an innovative Tour Broker/Operator in the Tourism industry.

Shortly thereafter I was appointed as Division Head at a large debt collection company and later as Project- and Innovation Manager

Before I was headhunted by another debt collection firm as a Sectional Manager for their “Data Mining” division, I was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo various surgeries, chemo, and radiation sessions up to date.

Despite the latter and the closure of the debt collection firm I have worked for, I managed to stay afloat only by the grace of God.

Refusing to accept the fact that my health is deteriorating, being extremely career-driven, stubborn for the lack of a better word, and most probably too ambitious I have applied for several vacancies for over two years but to no avail. I have even tried to start my business again without any upfront capital, but I finally accepted the fact that due to ill-health I was no longer employable and going back into landscaping was out of the question.

In February 2020, I finally got the opportunity, to despite everything, to live out my passion in the music industry through my Facebook page “Music Lovers International”, Now known as MLI House of Music and 5 months as Radio Presenter at an Internet Radio Station called FM Stereo.

It was a dream come true eventually and to build up a very good network in the music industry with various role players, but after 5 months I had to greet broadcasting with great sadness because of lymph gland, saliva gland, and throat cancer.  

After the operation, I offered my services as Marketing and Social Media Manager at the same company, FM STEREO. I was finally able to live out years of marketing experience, Leadership Courses, Innovation Managements, Change Managements as well as Project Management experience for 5 years. If According to several Presenters, the owner and listeners, I have added much needed value to FM Stereo until the 4^th of August 2021.

During this time and networking with several Artist’s and several role-players in the music industry, I could see several opportunities to expand the services of MLI House of Music. Not only to create a Media house but also creating a Webpage Directory to enlist all role-players within the industry.

I am also involved with a very exclusive and international group, based in South Africa, to promote human rights, motivational writer, and world peace that lies extremely close to the heart, and I also do a bit of painting if the opportunity arise and when there is time to spare, but this rarely happens.
